Well, today was the longest I've ridden my own bike. 150 miles. We were on some pretty challenging roads. I was ok until I started getting tired. My knees were hurting from being bent in one position for so long. I do have highway pegs, but I can only ride like that for so long too. We took a break halfway home, which helped greatly. Still a long day. Was gorgeous weather, no afternoon storms like the past few days. Stopped by a Mexican restaurant in Sylva. Was pleasantly surprised to find a dish that didn't have tortillas or rice. Was a seafood dish. So I managed to stay on plan with the food today. Feel like I got a workout today on the bike. So was definitely a good day.

That is a long ride! Sounds like lots of fun though. We usually keep it to about 100 miles at a time... that's all my butt can handle. Hubs has a better seat on his bike so I'm the limiting factor. :-) And Mexican! My favorite!

That is a good ride and a great time had indeed! 150 miles in the saddle is for sure a good workout! :) That is about my own limit on the scoot I have now so like you looking at another one. Mine is a great bar hopper but want something that can do the longer runs with out beating my back up :D

Maxie, I think of you often, especially when we head West! I keep thinking, one day I'm gonna get to come visit you! J, ironically enough, the hardest part for me, was my knees being bent! As short as I am, I could stand to have a bit higher seat position, lol. We take stretch breaks, of course, and I use my highway pegs when I can, but even that isn't comfortable for long. My butt actually wasn't the worst part, like it's been when riding on the back of one of the hub's other bikes (V-Strom & Concours). The Goldwing is quite cushy, so I'll probably do ok on it. We have a ride next weekend, The Wounded Warrior Ride, by Operation Heal Our Patriots, out of Boone, so I'll be finding out just how comfy the Goldwing is on a longer ride, for sure! The youngest rode with him yesterday.
