This morning I was a bit sore from yesterday's workout, which is good. It means I worked my muscles! I decided to increase my speed a bit on the treadmill, from 4.7 to 5.0 (12 minute mile). I wanted to slow down after about 8 min, but I did like I always do, talked myself thru it, pushed past the pain, wouldn't let myself back down. I made it the entire 15 min at 5.0. Got a mile and a half in, for my 20 min on the treadmill. I focused on my lower body today, although I did do a few triceps and used the kettle bell with some of my squats. I put my ankle weights on too. It really does feel good to get back in to my fitness routine. I feel much better the rest of the day. Just wish I didn't have to get up so early for work the rest of the week. I can't make myself get up at 4:45 am to do a workout. I barely make it out of bed by 5:30 to get in the shower. So the workouts on workdays have to come in the evening. At least on those days, my youngest will often join me. He's been eating healthier lately, getting salads at school and he even ordered the kale salad when we ate out Sat night. I wouldn't have even done that, lol. Glad he's making the effort and wants to be healthy. The kid is small, but he's all muscle. Already has rock hard abs and killer thigh muscles, and he's only 14. I hope he keeps that desire to be healthy, cuz his older brother sure doesn't care about himself. He eats junk and we caught him using tobacco last week (his Dad died from cancer, you'd think that would be a deterrent). My two boys are proof that nature can overtake nurture. I'm just glad there's at least one other person in this house that wants to be healthy!! Hope everyone has a terrific Tuesday!

😁 I have never run a 12 min mile, even when I was running every day and ran a couple of 5k races years ago, so this was definitely an accomplishment for me! I actually ran for 15 min. The rest of it was warm up and cool down. Just glad a didn't give in to my whiney side and slow down.

Your doing such a fantastic job sweetie...yep it hard to get followers...because its work...ha ha...hopefully your oldest son will work through all of this and begin to think differently...he is at that age...he is good... just confused...things will change and for the better ...your love will get him through this rough patch...my love and hugs to you miss super woman...I'm so proud of you...xoxoxo;)
