Back in the saddle, after taking some time off. I had my kids for a month this summer, and I decided not to worry about what I ate or how much I worked out while they were here. I took 4 weeks off from work. We had a blast, I ate like crap and just enjoyed a summer vacation with my kids.

Monday was my first day back to real life, and I stepped on the scale to assess the damage. 10 pounds gained in 4 weeks. Not good, but not as bad as it could have been.

I cut out carbs again on Monday, and I'm in the middle of the "adjustment period", which means I have not much energy and not much patience. I've dropped 5 pounds in 2 days, which has to be water or a tapeworm or something. I'll have to give it some time for my body to get back to normal. Hopefully I can get back to the steady decline I had in the winter time.

Anyhow, I hope everyone has been doing well, and I look forward to being an active member of the community again.

First of all; thanks for your service, Dan! As far as diet goes, none of us would be on here if we didn't fall off the wagon now and then. I would be a little nervous about following an all-meat diet, but if it works for you, good luck. Glad to see you're participating in the community.

Be active here, and in the gym/outside! I'll never understand you no-carb'ers. I need cookies.

After a while, you don't miss the cookies. As long as I get enough coffee, I'm good to go.
