I’m still sticking to the “no added salt” regime. It takes a wee bit of getting used to but I’m sure it is much healthier than adding salt to my cooking. I substitute other flavours for the salt e.g. add some chilli flakes when boiling potatoes, rub smoked paprika on chicken thighs, add rosemary to carrots etc. Seems to work and will reduce my salt intake.

I have the opposite problem, since I cut out tins of food I now need to add salt to get adequate salt intake. (People always thought I was weird for cooking without salt, my attitude was there's enough salt in them anyway.)
Carrots are nice with anise (if you like anise).

A dash of lemon juice often works well instead of salt.

I would like to stop using salt as well, it would really help with blood pressure.
