June = my new Invisalign braces. There was pain for the first couple of days, and then it subsided from pain to discomfort. That meant no fitness. And then I started Intermittent Fasting (IF), and I would get dizzy when I worked out. That meant limited fitness. Apparently, my body is transitioning into IF. I am choosing to be patient and to love my body, trusting that it knows what to do. What a revolutionary approach! After years of calorie counting and portion control, this is just radical. I'm shifting from WHAT I'm eating to WHEN I'm eating. Freedom. <3 Mixed in with trusting my body in a way I never have.

I would be disappointed in myself for the little fitness on this month's calendar, but I feel good. I have more balanced energy, and I am consistently losing weight every week. I completely attribute this to starting my Intermittent Fasting (IF) lifestyle. I love the flexibility of opening and closing the feeding window when I want, letting my body tell me what to eat, refining my taste buds, and getting a consistent dose of serotonin/dopamime/endorphins/feel-good-hormones/etc.

I can go on and on about the benefits of IF, but I won't. I just want to say that I am happy. This is a great chapter in learning how to love my body. And this more than cancels out not working out 5-6 days a week like I previously wanted. That is no longer my goal, at least not right now. Right now, I'm focused on transitioning fully to the IF lifestyle, being good to myself, being in tune with what my body tells me, and doing a couple of workouts a week to prevent complete muscle loss.
