I'm getting so frustrated. I have a bad, bad cycle starting to happen. I do great for a week, eat perfectly, exercise daily, and there is no weight change. I get frustrated and upset, have a few bad meals in a week because I figure it doesn't matter what I eat, I'm still plateauing. And then I get upset when I see the scale hasn't budged. Then I get motivated and do perfectly for a week, etc. It's a bad cycle. So what if I'm plateauing right before I hit my most imporatant milestone: getting into the 100's? I need to stick it out and not get frustrated. I need to mix up my exercises. I need to get more serious about not going out for a burrito if I had a bad day.
I'm finding out more and more every week how much of an emotional eater I am. Last week, had a very long and stressful day. To make myself feel better, had ice cream. Hubby had a terrible day at work with terrible customers, and to try to make him feel better, went out and had a crap dinner. I need to disconnect my emotions from food. Eating junky food isn't going to make life better. I don't need to have a bowl of popcorn if I'm watching a movie and I'm not really hungry; I just want something to munch on as I watch. It tastes good so temporarily, and then I feel guilty for hours.
I'm trying to remotivate myself. I'm so, so, so demotivated but so close to a huge goal.
One good thing, though. I fit into an Old Navy size 14. I almost cried, I was so excited. I also went from a band size 38 bra to a band size 34. That makes me feel great. But I need to remember that I'm not quite finished yet. This is good and way better than I was before, but not where I need to finish.
Does anybody have any good ideas for getting remotivated?
