Feeling a bit fed up as I have done really well with my eating this week and have really gone for it as far as exercise is concerned but all this hard work isn't showing up on the scales :-(
I think my shape is very very very slowly changing which is great but I just wish I could see a bit of a shift on the scales so that it confirms that it is all worth it

Hi Jane. Forget the scales. I have a six lb difference throughout the day weighing myself. Plateaus happen and the only way to overcome them is persistence. Keep fighting the good fight.

Based on your food journal, you are not eating enough and that can really impact losing. Your body can fear starvation and then hold on to every ounce of fat that it can to insure survival. I'd up my calories -- I am almost 52 and only 5'2" and shoot to consume 1500 calories and 20-30 carbs per day -- sometime I fall short if that but I try to not make a habit of it.

Just remember how far you have come and how great you are actually looking rather than what the scales say! Keep watching the Hairy Dieters - they're watercress breakfast is great. I had watercress, poached egg, tomatoes and bacon. It makes a great breakfast and also a great dinner. Dead quick and easy too :) xxx
