I have had a couple of diabetes scares, with my A1C level between 5.7 and 6.1. That's considered pre-diabetic. I get tested regularly, either annually or semi annually. It's always the samo samo: I get tested, confirm my pre-diabetes, go vegan for a couple of months, calorie count, do hella exercise, and lower it down for a while. It's such a yo-yo game I play.

Well, well, well. I'm not vegan right now, not killing myself with fitness, not calorie counting, just got tested at the clinic/lab, and

...my A1C is at 5.1!!! This is amazingly low for me. I'm so thankful for the recuperative effects of intermittent fasting. I haven't been normal like this in like a 9 years. YEARS! I am just stunned. And thankful. God is good. Everything happens for a reason. I feel so blessed.

Yes, it is great news! I'm ecstatic. And I hear you, Steven. We have to be vigilant and proactive about our insulin levels. Diabetes is very dangerous. Good to see you here again! Keep at it. :)
