I haven't logged any food since the first week of Oct. Been busy traveling on weekends and such and it's so hard to log food when eating out. Been dealing with the ever increasing challenges of a teenage boy with some major issues, so logging food has kind of taken a back seat. I've actually done well as far as maintaining my weight, within a couple pounds. My last weight entry showed 134. I had been hanging within a pound of that until this latest trip, to Marco Island, FL with the hubby. Five days of indulgence and I'm up about 3-4 pounds. Not surprising. Eating high on the hog and drinking wine most nights is not a habit I need to be in. We got back home late Wed night and yesterday was spent dealing with the trouble my son go himself into while we were gone (it has become a pattern-we travel, he gets in trouble), so today won't be a good day food wise either at work since I didn't have time to plan. I am going to get back at the healthier eating plan tomorrow and do my best to not overindulge on Thanksgiving.

I'm not beating myself up over this temporary weight gain. But I do need to re-adjust my mind set and get back to logging my food. Our traveling is pretty much done for the year, except for a day trip here and there, so I'm hoping to get back into regular workouts too. They've been intermittent for the past month.

I turned 50 back in October and while I've settled into the fact that I am indeed getting older, it does cause one to become a bit introspective. I've always wanted to live at either the beach or on a lake and my husband and I are seriously considering a move in the Spring. We went and looked at lake houses over my birthday weekend and are actually prepping our house so it will be presentable and able to be put on the market around March. I'm going thru everything, trying to purge as much as possible. Our oldest isn't thrilled with the prospect of moving and has said he won't go with us. He will be 18 in Feb, so he can do whatever he wants, but realistically, he isn't mature enough to be on his own any time soon. With all we are dealing with in regards to him, I'm having second thoughts. But it would be a very beneficial move in a lot of ways, mostly financial. Our house is worth way more than we thought and we can pay off the mortgage and all our debt and have plenty left over for a great down payment on another house. We will sit down once we have things squared away with our son and do a list of pros and cons. If both our boys were already 18, it would be a no-brainer for me. Moving with kids means we have to think of them as well as ourselves. We shall see what happens come Spring!

Lots going on in life, but there always is. Can't use it as an excuse to not take care of myself...my health.

Wow, some big changes in the making! Glad to hear you and your husband were able to get away. Sure hope the move regarding your oldest works out, I know you've had to deal with a lot. There have been times when I have been out mostly, that I take a picture of my meal or menu items to be logged in at a later time. I use it as a reminder. Hope you are able to adjust so your where you want to be. 😊
