Got a call from the hospital this morning. Surgery will be calling today or tomorrow to schedule my pre-op appointments! I go in tomorrow to the dentist to get all my teeth pulled (sounds worse than it is...I only have 8). I am happy and nervous and scared all at once today. On a happier note my kid bullied me into going out and walking (not really bullied but definitely badgered lol) and we walked 5740 steps which puts my total for the day at 6339 and I still have HOURS to go! Just to give you an idea...I've walked so much that my average per day for the week (Feb 3-9) is at 5671 steps. It's not what I'm used to but I'm clawing my way back! When I get this surgery I'm going to lose so much weight and I'm going to be able to tie my own shoes and I'm going to be able to hike again...I'm going to be able to do ALL THE THINGS! I am READY!

I'm so happy for you Katie! I know you've had to work very hard to even get READY for the surgery! You've proven that you've got what it takes to get ready, now the real journey begins! PLEASE continue to keep us updated every step of the way! Our hearts and prayers are with you! OUCH! for the tooth pullings! This ONE tooth I had pulled last week is STILL really bothering me! You ARE having them put you out for it, right???

Lol...not going completely down but I will be "comfortably numb". My son took the day off and between him and my daughter they should be able to wrangle me back home after. I told the dentist (jokingly) that I would be fine to drive and he begged to differ so whatever it is that they do must be good lolol
