Consider yourself kicked :) It is hard but you have to keep trying, not for anybody but for yourself. I do not know if it is true about your place, but where I live it is cheaper to buy fruit and veggies in small ethnic grocery stores or in the farmers market than in the supermarket. I sometimes am surprised at how much I can buy for how little money. They also sometimes sell sort outs, which don't look picture perfect but are good for cooking and taste the same. Also at this time of the year frozen veggies are a good enough substitute as fresh veggies are not always that fresh. Any way good luck and keep trying. We can do it. 

I feel your struggle so there is no way I can kick you. I constantly comment on the high cost of fresh veg/fruit versus canned & processed and empathize with your being on the road and the limitations you encounter financially and with finding available parking at restaurants that serve healthy choices. Then again, I may be completely out of touch and stereotyping Truck Stop Food as it's been about 30 years since I stopped at one. DO they serve healthy choices now? While you lose some nutrition in the process have you priced any frozen veg/fruit? I hated watching my fresh fruit go 'bad' if I didn't eat 'that thing' every day so I buy frozen now (except apples). No one can hold you accountable but you ~ but I would consider it an honor to be your buddy.
