I'm trying to keep my goals realistic. I looked my best at age 24 when I was about 105 pounds with a 24 inch waist, comfortably wearing a size 3. I'm 4'11" so it doesn't take much for me to be overweight. I would love to be that size again, but my current goals are to get to 120 pounds, which will take me out of the overweight category, waist under 30 inches, and any single digit pant size. I am currently 189 pounds with a 40 inch waist and 16-18 pant size. I will be 53 on Sunday. I would never have believed I would get to this point. Fortunately I like exercise and I'm very active so I'm surprisingly fit and strong for someone this overweight. I aim to lose slowly and with sustainable eating habits so this will be long term and not the ups and downs I've experienced using very restrictive diets. Life really is a journey and I want to keep moving in a positive direction.I have so many reasons to want to live a long, healthy life: a loving family, fulfilling job, friends....
