Hi Peeps,

Not been feeling so good for a few days, my old problem has returned oesophagitis due to acid reflux and a hiatus hernia, the ulcers and erosions are giving me such a burning pain when swallowing so the plan is, a liquid/mushy type diet, soups, macaronies, scrambled eggs etc. and to eat smaller portions and not overload my stomach ...... This might help me lose some weight eventually but what a way to do it!!!

Weighed myself 5 mins ago and I've lost 1/2 lb ...... only had soups yesterday cos of my problems so will be doing the same again today ...... The sun has just shown its face after 4 days of rain, so have decided to go and do the weeding whilst they're easier to pull out, I've got quite a lot of flowers and veggie plants to put out so I must get my Butt in gear and pull on my wellies TTFN

Hope you feel better soon Maggy, I myself am going through a bowel obstruction, all because I am trying to eat healthy. I don't dare to step on the scales as I've only eaten ice cream, hot chocolate and mash potatoes with lashes of butter. Oh well I will start again and hopefully I can figure out what caused it and not do it or eat it again. Take care x

Bless You FO, hope the obstruction moves soon, try to drink plenty of fluids and take some natural senna tablets for a few days x

Hi GF thanks for that, I must keep taking the meds, I'm at that funny age you know where everyday something else starts to ache or each year its another Operation of some sort, if they keep taking any more bits away there'll be nothing left to donate to medical science, but I'm glad I can wake up each morning and smell that coffee!!! x

Thanks Gilly, Maggy, I completely agree with you Maggy, I don't think I will have anything to leave to the medical scientist at this rate 😂 Good news is... obstruction has cleared, and I feel a little better. I now have to start again with the fruit and veg to see what caused it, or maybe it was down to lifting something heavy, I don't know. At least we can all wake up and smell the coffee, that has to be the best smell in the world! Take care both of you x

With you every step of the way, Maggy. Hope you managed to get the planting out done and can now look forward to some lovely veg and flowers later this year. 😂

I so empathise with you being an oesophagitis, reflux sufferer myself too due to anti-inflammatories. Hope you feel much better very soon. Maybe soups would be an option especially some home made, full of goodness and milky puds. Take care x

Hi, several years ago I was admitted to hospital for stomach problems. They told me to change my diet. No gluten or lactose which both cause inflammation in the digestive tract. No meat, brown rice once a fortnight, same with pasta. Drink 1.5 litres of water a day. Avoid fizzy drinks and alcohol. It was hard but it worked. No more reflux or bowel obstruction since. Good luck. 🤞👍
