ARG! So goes my day thus far! Thank God it's Wednesday! I had my journal entry all typed out and was about to hit the "save' button...and my computer decided to reboot! LOL So, will attempt at recording another journal entry!
The scale was nice and decided to grant me a loss of the half pound I gained over the weekend! I was so pleased to see that I had only gained a half pound over the weekend! I'm getting better about avoiding big gains over the weekends! For a while there I'd gain 6 pounds over the weekend only to spend my week trying to lose it all over again! I'll take the half pound over 6 any day! Now, if I can just make it down to 236!!! I have yet to reach that while being here on FS! I'm so close, too! I'll do it! I have to! And then it'll be a new "baby" goal!
We had wild sockeye salmon, brown rice with pesto and sun dried tomatoes, and fresh asparagus for breakfast this morning! I was so pleased to see that my daughter, who's not quite 2 yrs. old yet, LOVED the salmon! It cracked me up watching her scarff it down! So far I haven't found a food she won't eat, yet! Thank God!
While going through the house and gathering up "garage sale" items, I ran across an e-book I printed out a couple years ago pertaining to PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). PCOS is linked to insulin reisitance. It seems that with insulin resistance messes up the balance of the hormones which in turn messes up the metabolism. I forgot about that book. It gives a complete description of how foods affect someone with PCOS. After having my daughter, which I never thought would be possible, I sort of forgot about the fact that I have PCOS. It was no longer important to me because my "goal" (of conception) was met. However, that doesn't mean the PCOS went away...which means if I REALLY want to lose weight, I'm going to have to figure out how foods affect ME and MY body. The problem with this is that it requires I make time to read this book. I have a hard enough time trying to read my new SBD book. However, if I want to be truly successful any time soon, I have a feeling I'm going to need to make reading through these 2 books a priority.
Anybody got any extra time they'd like to send my way?! LOL
Well, the struggle continues and I keep plodding onward and forward.

**checks me back pockets, ... pats me chest and front pockets...** Nope, sorry, fresh outta time! lol Isn't that a luxury item these days?? As a mom, it always is. :) I remember the days when my girls would eat anything and everything too... enjoy it!! It may not last long as she gets a bit older. Yessss read them books, even if it's only 10-20 mins here and there. You'll get through them and have a clearer mind of health, for it! Keep on kickin' it girly!!
