the hot winter exceeded my expectations. like sambal oelek but slightly sweet. damn. 

Which one is your favorite? And what dishes to you make with them? 

Hot sauce makes everything better

@tribe I mostly use em while eating. (for cooking I tend to use dried or fresh chiles.) there are so many types that they all pair well with something. for instance, the iguana gold is heavy on mustard, and I like those for chicken or fish (also the fruity-ones). with plain veggies I go vinegar-y. & the ones that are mostly peppers go with everything :D

I love sauces but find them having to much sugar and fat  

I found a Blackberry Habanero that I just love on ice cream, fruit or yogurt. My favorite is El Yucateco Salsa De Habanero (the bright green one) 

@smk sounds tasty. I don't think I've had one with berries yet. Bravado makes a blackberry habanero that I want to try. and ice cream!!?

have you had the brown yucateco ("mayan recipe")? made me forget all about those other ones 😉 

@mbscn the huy fong sambal oelek is just peppers/salt/vinegar and pretty easy to find. also, not really a sauce but hot chopped peppers are a good sugar-free relish. (when I was growing up we always had that on hand... classic italian-american grub)

Yes on vanilla ice cream. I have not had the brown one. I'll look for it, thanks.
