Some supplements that aid in weight loss:

Glucomannan, or Konjac root. This is also found in shirataki noodles, which have been used by the Japanese for weight loss for years.

Modifilan, or Japanese kelp (laminaria japonica). Contains alginate, which aids in weight loss. Also assists in removing poisons from the body.

Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). The name is a handful, but it's really just a good fatty acid that helps your body burn fat.

Green tea extract (GTE). Helps raise the body's metabolism, and also contains good antioxidants.

Other fiber supplements. Besides glucomannan, there is also psyllium, acacia fiber, grapefruit fiber, guar gum, etc.

Apple cider vinegar and water with lemon are supposed to be good too. I am going to try to take a spoonful of some good organic apple cider vinegar every day, or put it on my salads.

I have been recording the bread I eat as some commercial brand, but I have been baking my own bread, and just trying to figure out what commercial brand of bread is the closest to the stuff I make. Up until now, I haven't really measured ingredients; I just take a bunch of whole grains, like sorghum, teff, quinoa, barley, rye, brown rice, wheat, oats, millet, etc., and throw them in the blender with some water. Then I add bread flour, yeast, salt, maybe some sweetener and yeast in until it feels like bread flour. Sometimes I also add stuff like oat bran, wheat bran, beans, and fiber or protein supplements. The next time I bake bread I think I will keep track of the ingredients so I can figure out a better idea of the calories per slice. Until then, I'll just take a guess.
