Terribly bloated today - uncomfortably so. Turns out having 3 very green meals (and by that I mean Cruciferae cabbage, kale etc) is a terrible idea. It may be low in carbs, but it also can cause gass, constipation and such. Anyway.. I will not be doing that again.

I think it also depends on what your regular diet/eating plan is. If one generally doesn't eat a lot of veggies/fibre, bloating and discomfort is a given when consuming any high fibre vegetable, because the bacteria in the gut are not aligned to that way of eating. But as you add more vegetables gradually, the balance of bacteria/microbes in our guts adjust to be able to digest these new foods. Cruciferous veg are amazing nutritional powerhouses, but should maybe increased gradually, because they do tend to cause flatulence and bloating. They also contain goitrogens, which aren't good for thyroid functions (but getting enough iodine helps counter these effects). I now have 2-3 servings a day with pretty much no problems.

70% of my daily diet is veg and fruit so my body is quite use to it. I think I overdid it in the combination and it being meal after meal. I am generally very pro the green stuff :)
