Hi pragtig. You'll need to weigh each food type to see how many grams in order to work out the caloric content. I see rice, potato salad, a stew of some sort, carrots and peas. Potato salad calories depend on how much dressing is used and what is in the dressing. When I'm unsure about something, I always choose the highest possible calorie count. For example, with your potato salad, I would weigh it and then chart the estimated calorie count I would then add a tablespoon of full cream mayonnaise onto my calorie count of the dish. That way I might overestimate my calorie count, but there's very little chance that I underestimate it!

It can be! The best is to try and use portion control. So much smaller servings.... And more meat, less starches. Rather double up on your veggies and take the potato and rice out... That would make your calorie count much lower! Meat or protein makes you feel fuller for longer. Veggies hell to make you feel like you've had a good portion. There are enough starches and carbohydrates in those beans, peas and carrots... So you don't need to add rice and potatoes. I hope that helps you?
