We actually wanted to go bowling. :) We haven't done that in forever. So dinner & bowling. My stupid psoriasis is acting up again though and my middle finger is split at the corner by my nail. Maybe with a band aide I could do it. I wouldnt want to catch anything from a bowling ball and I don't own one. Plus it may hurt really bad. I can't even write without it hurting. All my other fingers are cold but that finger is hot. Psoriasis sucks. I really feel for people who get it all over. Thank the lord it is just on my hands and since this WOE it is so much better than it used to be.

My sister gets it all over especially on her knees, chins, and elbows. It's pretty nasty how it'll take over like that. Be thankful it's only affecting your finger. And definitely use a bandaid. That could be a really bad story....

Try the liquid bandage, Amanda. It burns like heck, but the boys always use it when they have blisters and want to bowl!

It is hard to have it on your hands because you worry all the time about catching something because it can bleed etc. So I wash my hands alot - which the dr says is the worst thing for my psoriasis because it dries it out. Antibacterial gel feels like fire. He even told me to wear gloves when I shampoo my hair. lol! I am supposed to wash my hands with this non-comedogenic (spelling) special soap he wants me to use but I don't really feel clean with it because it doesnt sud up & how inconvenient is that to have to carry your own soap with you everywhere you go? Grrr. Anyways pre-atkins they were BAD. I couldnt even open coke cans or car doors without my hands splitting and bleeding. I would die from embarassment when I had to sign somethign and someone could see my fingers. It is destroyed my nails. They are pitted and warped from it. There are much worse things to have though and in alot of ways I am very blessed to only have it on my hands. Since cutting out sugar it is soooooo much better. Every now & then I get a flare up but I would say it is 75% improved.

My daughter has the same thing on her fingers-she drinks (sounds gross)1/8 tsp of cream of tartar in a little (like a shot glass size) water once a day when it flares up and it dissappears right away.
