Some questions yall might have 💁🏻♂️
Is it white bread - yes ✔️ and it doesn't matter
Did I use artificial sweeteners - YES, lots ✔️ I like sweet things as much as the next person - no they won't give me cancer
Is Greek yogurt healthy - yes ✔️ it's 0% fat, no sugar and high protein
Is the jam healthy - meh 🤷🏻♂️ I dunno, BUT it is low calorie (20 cal there)
Can you eat this on a keto diet - F*CK NO ❌
AND FINALLY - how many calories in this meal? About 450😏
I bet it's looking more appetizing than your tiny portions of bacon and cheese sticks now that are same amount of calories keto-vangelists 😏 it's okay for me to tease you because I used to be you.. Educate yourselves to see through the diet myths and join be on the sweet, balanced side 💁🏻♂️

What if you have a high body fat %? Would you still recommend French toasts for breakfast?

It's all a game of calories 🙂 as long as you burn off what you ate you WILL lose weight (as we agreed, nothing in this universe defies laws of thermodynamics, especially human bodies). Notice the tweaks I made to this meal which could have been over 1000cal - French toast mostly from egg whites (the fat and therefore calories is in the yolk), using sweeteners instead of sugar in the egg mix, Greek yogurt as a substitute, low cal jam.. Now youve transformed a fatty-delights meal into a protein packed low calorie breakfast that tastes great and will keep you satisfied for several hours 🙂

I’m learning all the time 😄 will have to try it out. I’m just worried about the artificial sweetener. I usually get bad gas ingesting sugar alcohols or xylitol 😳 which sweetener do you use? Maybe have to leave that out lol

I use any and all of them 🙊 whatever I can get my hands on lol🙊 for health the best is probably stevia🤷🏻♂️ I know some people have stomach issues with some, I think I remember hearing in a podcast that stevia helps the gut flora 💁🏻♂️ don't take my word on that though I didn't double check it before replying.. You can have the FT without or use sugar (16cal per teaspoon so not too liberally), I just prefer for the toast part to taste like cake instead of bread 😅😂 so I go to town on the sweeteners

👌👌👌 I think the reason some stick to keto or low carb diets more easily is because it takes away the cravings and keeps you fuller.... But totally agree its calories in vs calories out.

Lessthan15 I hear you fam, I experienced that in my years of keto dieting but now Id rather fulfill my cravings with smart substitutes than try avoid them💁🏻♂️ Also, most people who are trying to keto are eating WAY too much protein and then because of gluconeogenesis (bodys converting of amino acids to glucose) they are not even in ketosis anyways and it's actually the thermogenic effect and satiating quality of protein that's causing them to lose weight - not what they think is a keto diet 🙂 but above all the best diet is the one people can stick to for the rest of their lives comfortably

How did you transition from keto to this..... You are quite a role model for all of us based on your knowledge and progress of course💪

Thanks man💪🏻 I've been trying, failing and learning for over 12 years and decided I could help people here if I was more active because I know it is hard to navigate the nutrition world with all the misinformation. As for transitioning from keto, I think do it slowly (for mental health more than any biochemical reason). For a long while I just had my carb&protein meals for the first part of the day (to capitalize on the insulin sensitivity after fasting over sleep, also wanted the carbs for anaerobic morning training) and fat&protein meals later in the day. Although now I'd tell my past-self that as long as calories are managed it makes no real difference🙂👌🏻 do what's sustainable
