Lol TescaB... I would believe what you said if you said green leaf vegetables have more calcium than milk but not protein... we easily absorb protein from meat and dairy products because of the amino acids they contain which vegetables lack.

@pascoal777 I think what she’s trying to put across is that there are much healthier ways of getting your protein in. I love dairy but it’s not your healthiest option. It’s very high calorie and just a cup of milk is 250 cal ( which is a cup, not a glass) considering we are on a calories counting app it’s not the best option to get protein in. whereas you could eat a cup of lentils which is a lot more filling and has more than double the amount of proteins. Leaving you fuller for longer, with high protein intake and a much cleaner product. Considering milk is processed and homogeneous. Dairy is great but dangerous if not portioned on a weight loss journey. I think that’s all @TescaB was trying to say ☺️

Catherine, the poster is a dietitian... I think she knows best what she needs. And yoghurt is a diary product that I consider good and high in protein and probiotics and tescaB said green leafy veg not lentils. Both are different and I would prefer the greens than the lentils. As lentils are high in carbs, even though it contains fiber. I prefer low carb veg. And I prefer to get my protein from eggs, meat and cheese, another dairy product. That’s what I was trying to say. If someone wants to drink milk or eat veg, or have chocolate. It’s ok, because it’s what they want and no need to label anything bad. Because now a days everything is bad for you. Pick your poison.
