If your mother has Dementia she will be classed as a vulnerable person and you should be able to visit her to give her care, has she carers come in anyway?

I’ve a friend whose gran suffers the same way. Her carers didn’t turn up (staff shortages but no one informed family) and so gran was found wandering the streets by the neighbour, confused thinking someone was out to kill her/others as there was no people about. Her grandson had to move in with her as he was the only one who could to care for her now till a home is found. And that in itself presents issues. You have every reason to visit if you need to, no question. Not sure of the distances but again that is not questionable for the care and welfare of vulnerable.

You only have one mum, look after her. my mum had Dementia and I know how hard it can be, I looked after her for six years, she as gone now and I miss her every day, carers are good people, but your mum will trust you, the one she loves. she will feel safe and happy when you are there. Chestnut and Wiggyip are right about the travel.Take care.

Agree with all the comments below. Also, you must be going out of your mind by worrying about your mum. This makes me sad... please take care. Xx

Thank you All for your lovely comments, Ive still bn going to mums most days, but can only chat to her thru the window, its cause of my health got no spleen n on weekly transfusions, but this is better than nothing, and its lifting mums spirits, n thats what counts. Ive got her to start writing in her diary every day, all the wee things she does, n she lets me see it the next again day, shes highlighting when she chats to me thru the window lol, so I know its a good thing. Ive bought her more readingbooks n word searches, also bought her colouring in books and pencils, she said to me " what xxxxx age d you think I am" lol told her to watch her language and that they were for All ages, oh I might try them then she said lol, u just gotta laugh with the things she comes out with xx Thank you All so much for ur lovely comments, n for taking the time to reply to a worried daughter take care n be safe x 🥰🥰

Hey madlizzie, you are an awesome daughter and, by the sound of it, your mom is wonderful (and funny) as well and deserves you. Glad you are being able to handle this situation so well. Congratulations! 💚
