I honestly can't believe it has been 12 days of no chocolate for me. And it hasn't been nearly as hard as I thought it would be. There have been a few close calls, like when I was in the grocery store and got a horrible craving for those little chocolate milk chugs. I put one in my cart to drink on the ride home and started to walk away. I only got about 5 feet when I remembered my vow. Something so natural for me to do almost became a binge because I'm sure it would have set off the full-out cravings again.

The only problem seems to be that I have found a way to substitute other sweets. Vanilla wafers, granola bars and other types of pastries have filled the void. I am also eating more fruit, which is good, but apparently not enough because I gained weight last week! I guess maybe carrot cake doesn't count as a vegetable either LOL :-)
