My nephew THE MARINE (his new name) is shipping out tonight from LAX. He called this afternoon and I picked him up from the airport. They dropped 200 Marines off this afternoon to hang around until their flights. His isn't 'til midnite. Some of them do not leave until Thursday-poor babies. We went out for Sushi. It's so strange. I do not want him to leave but yet I will dutifully drive him back to the airport. He just turned 18. He showed me his tattoo-it runs along side his torso-german words meaning hell hound or something. He is a pussycat-not a hound of any sort. I heard his mother almost fainted when she saw it!
I did have sake so I am dialing drunk right now-oops!

LOL!!! Mr. C gets all his mail from my address. I have embarrassed my poor nephew Luke a few times-admonishing him for smoking in front of his CO and calling him "Lukey Padukey Pudding Pie" at his graduation.

mmmm did someone say sake!?!?! i think the tattoo would have said hell bound, and yeah his mom would rather see i love mom than i'm going to hell!!! lolol he is so brave, bless your nephew!

Sounds like you had a good time with the Hell Hound.. are you sure it wasn't Hell Bound? Maybe the tattoo artist had too much sake also?! Anyway, it sounds like your nephew had a good time and certainly much nicer having sushi with his lovely aunt, than sitting in the airport with the other hell hounds. Now I want sake too!

LOL, Sake, wow, it doesn't take much does it? It sounds like you had a good time with your nephew before his send off. After sending off my brother several times in the past 10 years, I know the feeling. As far as I know, no tatoos yet, at least none that he's shown me! Bless your nephew, I keep all our service men and women in my thoughts.
