My adventure in Montana continues. Getting my exercise is a breeze when I have a lovely place like this to walk. The only difficulty is in keeping my pace when I keep stopping to take another picture.
Photo Description:
1) I walk alongside the Clark Canyon Reservoir.
2) The Clark Canyon Reservoir is surrounded by beautiful mountains.
3) This wildflower is called large-bract Verbena (Verbena bracteata).
4) Another picture of the reservoir.
5) One of the many mountains surrounding the reservoir.
6) More of the mountains surrounding the reservoir.
7) A fisherman in the Beaverhead River.
8) This is the second prairie rattlesnake (Crotalus viridis) I've seen this year. Sorry if you hate snakes.
9) This wildflower is called hairy Goldwater (Heterotheca villosa).
10) Here's a callippe fritillary (Speyeria callippe) butterfly on tall hedge mustard (Sisymbrium loeselii).
11) As the sun was setting a distant rainstorm glowed orange.
12) This is a very dark place at night, and the stars fill the sky. I stayed up late last night to star gaze, and was extremely excited when my efforts to get a picture of the Neowise comet were successful. If you haven't seen it yet, see it. It's freaking spectacular!!
