I'm back! I've been without an internet connection for more than a week, leaving me out of touch for what seems like forever. I couldn't even use my FatSecret tools and had to stay on track as best I could. For six days I enjoyed getting my exercise in the Lolo National Forest near Paradise, Montana. Then we moved out of Montana to Rose Lake near Cataldo, Idaho and stayed there two days. We just arrived today in Moscow, Idaho and I was delighted to see I finally have an internet connection here. I have quite a bit of catching up to do. Here are some pictures I took on my walks this past week. Photo Description: 1 & 2) These are pictures of the Clark Fork River. The river is named after William Clark, of the Lewis & Clark Expedition. 3) A robber fly (Neoitamus sp.) on tansy (Tanacetum vulgare) flowers. 4 & 5) This is the view I had from my campsite of the Clark Fork River and the surrounding mountains. 6) A Golden Eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) 7) A Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) 8) A railroad bridge spanning the Clark Fork River. 9) Montana Highway 135 runs through the Lolo National Forest. 10) While hiking I met a man riding a Tennessee Walker (Equus ferus caballus) and he let me take a picture of him and his horse. 11) This is my Campsite in the Lolo National Forest. 12) A colorful sunset in the Lolo National Forest. 13) This is Rose Lake near Cataldo, Idaho. 14) A sunset for lovers on Rose Lake.

I'm not sure if the church is still there or not, Texasgranny6. I was only there for two days and only saw part of Rose Lake on my walks. There are quite a few other lakes in that area too, which I didn't see for lack of time. I enjoyed seeing Rose Lake and hope to see more of the area next time I get there.

The little town nearby is aptly named Paradise, newname. There wasn't much to it that I could see. I'm in Moscow now, which is a pretty big residential community, like the suburbs. I did my walk on sidewalks yesterday, which was cool because I could wear sneakers instead of hiking boots. There's not really much to take pictures of here though, at least not like my regular pictures. I'm so glad your traveling with me! I enjoy your company! 😄

Lonnie, you have made me nostalgic this morning, happily! You have been romping around the country near my childhood home of seventeen years, Wallace, Idaho. Dad, a minor at the Sunshine mine in Kellogg, Idaho, took every chance he had to take the family to these wonderful mountains, lakes, streams, and little towns. We camped, fished, cooked outside, surveyed the wonderful places you have in your pictures. My Sis and her family, living at Hauser Lake, near Coeur d' Alene, Idaho (ID), and, Brother, living in Spokane, WA, have followed in Dad's and Mom's footsteps, always heading for the mountains, streams, and lakes. We ate a lot of fish - rainbow trout right out of the streams. We have relatives who have a campsite at Cataldo, ID where there is a very, very old Catholic church established by the Jesuits that we visited many times. So happy to hear appreciation for my beautiful Pacific Northwest. We had planned to arrange a trip to Hauser Lake this year, but the Chinese virus is keeping us in Richmond, VA. Maybe in 2021. I'm glad you enjoyed the photos, willeenkirby, and were able to reminisce. I'm certainly enjoying my visit to your childhood home. It's beautiful here! Don't feel lonely because that dreaded virus wrecked my plans for this year too. I had planned on visiting Devil's Tower and Mt. Rushmore this year but had to cancel. I still got to see some gorgeous places though, like this area. Thanks for your lovely comment. 🙂

I still prefer to be out in the wilderness, newname, but we have to come to town once in a while to get to get chores done. We're here to do some grocery shopping, which will be pretty easy. We'll use curbside pickup at Walmart for that. We'll also do our laundry this afternoon. The fun never ends! 😃

Yes, I'm back again, Sherrye, at least for the time being. Montana and Idaho are the worst for cellphone coverage. We're slowly making our way south now, so my online experience should improve as we go.
