I did so good with dinner last night and then ruined it with a huge mixed drink. The drink was more calories than my whole meal. Found my debit card had been locked bc of fraudulent charges when I took the kids for haircuts. I definitely needed a drink, could've gotten away with something better for me but it was good at the time and not something I do on a regular basis. Back on track today and will try to drink more water to make up for it. Question: how often do you weigh?

I weight in every Friday morning. If I cheat a little on the weekend, I won’t notice it. I don’t usually cheat, but you never know what might pop up 😉

The idiot box (as I like to call it) and I have a strained relationship. Some weigh in once a week because they realized the everyday fluctuations were detrimental to their well-being and will to keep making good food decisions. I used to weigh in every day for months, then tried weighing in once in a while. It didn’t work for me. I weigh in everyday as my reaffirmation I’m actively changing my lifestyle, and am trying to get over the dopamine addiction that a lower number gives me. You have to do what works best for you. Realize the idiot box is a tool to help you, but it’s not who you are changing your lifestyle for.

Dave I think that's why I put off weighing as much as possible right now. I want that number to go down but I want to feel better physically more. I think I'm going to break down and get a scale and at least start weighing once a week, going a month makes me feel like I cheat days bc there's so much time in between weighing

Great outlook, Carrrington7. I don’t like that I have to get on the scale everyday to keep me honest throughout that particular day, but if it’s what I have to do, then I’m gonna do it. I want to go on the scale less often (because like you it’s about feeing better physically than the numbers), so I look forward to your insights along the way. You got this!
