Yesterday I had some friends over for my birthday dinner and I also made for them my special carrot cake ....mmmm....it is so yummy 🥳🤩🍰 ! I got the recipe from my mother-in-law for nearly 40 years ago. This 100 gr piece is about 175 kcal.

Nutricali....It's a carrot mix :-) but the whole cake recipe is here: *** Dough: Melt 50 g of yeast with 125 g of sugar. Add 500 ml of lukewarm water. 1 tsp of salt. 200 g of melted margarine. Mix. Add about 1.5 kg of plain flour and knead the gough. Live the dough to rise for 1-2 hours. *** Carrot mixture: Peel 2 kg of carrots, boil, cool and grate. Mix in 1 raw egg, 0.5-1 tsp of salt, 3 tbsp of sugar and 150 g of melted butter(82 %). *** Lubricate the baking tray with oil or butter and place 2/3 of rolled out dough on it. Spread the whole carrot mixture on the dough. Roll out the remaining 1/3 of the dough and cover the carrot mixture. Spread the top with one beaten egg. Preheat the oven. Bake at 180 degrees for 40 min. Good appetite 🙂!
