Was feeling lighter this morning, so I pulled out my favorite pair of jeans (from yester-weight: size 5). These have been my temperature check, along with 2 dresses, that I give a try about every 5-10 pounds lost or so.
When I started this around 170 lbs., I couldn't even get them over my thighs. Today, they pulled on over my hips and I zipped them without even having to suck it in. Are they appropriate for public consumption? No. I have a li'l pooch to contend with, and I am not comfortable walking around in pants that give even a hint of muffin. For reference, these jeans used to be slightly baggy on me, and the most comfortable piece of clothing I owned.
However, I'm betting that in about 5 more pounds gone that these can be worn outside.

Thank you, Melissa! I tried on some lingerie, too, that I'm feeling pleased with now. Though I suspect that Love in the Time of Covid-19 will be a separate step in this process.

Such a nice feeling! Love your reference to Love in the Time of Cholera, Gabriel Garcia Marquez was such an interesting writer.

Thank you everyone! The non-scale victories feel just as good as a scale's reading. And yes, Shirfleur, that was definitely a reference to the late, great Marquez. My favorite of his was 100 Years of Solitude, but the Cholera book seems appropriate (and hopefully my saga will not end in requited love when I no longer look good in lacy/silky naughties!) 👵
