I need to remind myself that while eating out is quicker/easier, dinner at home doesnt take THAT long and its so tasty (and usually much better for you)! Homemade garlic butter shrimp, mac and cheese, garlic bread and broccoli.

This looks DEVINE. I also agree with Nutritiontechnonutritiontechno, but I'd skip the noodles and just make it shrimp and broccoli or only one of them.

If you are going to make M&C from a box you might consider the Amy’s brand. From a nutritional point of view it is one of the better ones on the market.

In keeping it simple, a sweet potato would be a good filler to go with the broccoli and shrimp, or a wild rice. Easier to nuke a spud....skip the bread and have a smoothie bowl or fruit and cottage cheese. But hey, sometimes we just gotta satisfy that craving.

No guilt!!! It looks perfectly portioned! I'm a firm believer you can't cut out everything you love. I love everyone's suggestions though! It does help to get ideas!

I see nothing that needs to be changed about this plate. Looks perfect. A diet is about cutting calories to a reasonable amount, not suffering and only eating clean. I also have to resist eating out ;)

couldn't agree more; preparing our own food is almost always much healthier than eating out!
