I think you are starving your self if you start the 1st week at less than 4000 calories/day. Next week drop to 3500, etc. Just don't starve yourself. Try filling the 4000 calories with veggies and proteins.

here is another way to add up the 4000 calories: 50 % veggie calories 25 % protein calories 25 % good fat calories a friend uses this ratio to combat tiredness and says that she has more energy now at 65 , than she did at 40
