It's funny, but I'm not really hungry today. I just got back from my daughter's tennis lesson and shopping at Wal-Mart. I haven't had dinner, but know I need to get some calories in me. Not a good time to eat, but I know I'll be up late tonight. Hubby wants to cook chicken and veggies. Nah. I just want leftover cauliflower and fish. Keep it light. Having a glass of wine. Wal-Mart was another goal for me. I bought a digital food scale so I can weigh my food and be accurate. I also bought an "Ab Roller." I bought one last year and my dog ate the cushion protectors off of it. LOL. I need help doing crunches and this really works. Without this, I hurt my neck because I do my crunches wrong. No matter how much I focus and try, I can't do them right without this. It supports my neck and really does help. I noticed quite a difference last time. I'm hoping to start using this tomorrow!

So funny. I said to my daughter, should I buy the five dollar cheapie, the next one that was a cheapie or the digital one I want for twenty bucks. She said, go for it Mommy. That's all it took. The digital one has a new home on my counter and we used it tonight the moment I got home (eating a late dinner!).

Sounds like our counter! We couldn't do without that thing. I notice that whenever I have the microwave going the digital scale is inaccurate and does crazy things?

Love my food scale. It makes it a lot easier to measure things quickly and accurately.

I think I'm going to love the food scale, but not sure about hubby. He's not dieting (he really needs to) and he's the one doing most of the cooking! LOL.

This may be a dirty trick but perhaps when he serves his delightful dishes you could ask him to weigh yours out for you. Maybe that will get him interested ;)

Sounds like an all around good day -- good for you! xoxox

Laura--he does weigh them out for me. He said he's getting healthier by me being on the diet, but he's kidding himself. He's still eating a lot and a lot of junk (bacon, cheese, multiple sweets, drinking soda). I can't change him, but I can change myself and be an example for my little girl. She's already watching what she eats. It's not for her to "lose" weight, but to make healthier choices. Instead of soda, drink water or juice (at her age). I grew up in a healthy household, so my family is really surprised at my weight. Mom was healthy and low fat when it wasn't popular (Mom is 90) and did portion control. Mom served us from the stove. I have to give my hubby credit. Even if he's not dieting, he is preparing special meals for me. He is cooking a totally different mean for me! That's awesome!

Thanks Ruhu. I woke up hungry this morning. That's a good sign!
