Here I am, beginning of January starting fresh - how ironic! “This year will be different.” “New year, new you.” “My New Years resolution is to lose weight!”

Well, I’m over it. After setting goal after goal and sort of succeeding and then failing, I’m happy to be on my own path, calling my own shots, and listening to my own body.

I was looking forward a platform with a good community to be a part of- I try not to talk about my weight stuff with family or friends but would like an uplifting group to talk to and share my success - so here I am!

Female, 36, 207.7lbs (I’m 5’7’’) as of yesterday. No end goal. I’m taking this 5pbs at a time. I’m looking to get to 202.7 this month which I know is totally durable given the weight increase due to the holidays. I generally eat pretty healthy. I eat fruit or vegetables at every meal and lean towards vegetarianism but I still eat animal products. I have a strange aversion to chicken so I stay away from that. As for exercise, I run in the spring and summer and do yoga in the winter (I try to do hot yoga.

Anyway looking forward to taking this truly one step at a time.
