I just need to vent this out somewhere, I just got fired from my job and I feel like eating away all this feelings, I want chocolate lots of it. It's just so unfair being fired for asking a raise, I've been 2 years with this company and I'm still getting 5 USD per hour, I don't get paid extra hours, health insurance or have any benefits, all my effort is worth nothing and no matter that I've been loyal and a hard worker, I've helped my company in so many ways and they couldn't raise me to 8 USD per hour? I know in our meeting tomorrow they'll ask me to stay for the same amount I'm getting, but I won't, is just that they can't screw up the company, who will be in charge of training my replacement? not even my managers know how to do what I do. Why does it matter so much that I live in Colombia? does it make my work any less valuable? God, I truly need something to get all this anger away from me. I need to think clearly. ARGH!!

Exercise works for me. I get all jittery about things sometimes and it's the only thing that works. I come from a family where, feeling good, feeling bad, feeling indifferent, or celebrating or dealing with a tragedy always involved food. Overeating is the worst addiction in the world. You can't give it up all together or you die, so the trigger is always there to deal with stresses in an inappropriate way. I wish you well on getting the next job. It's frustrating when, instead of entering into a discussion, they just shoot you down. Sounds like you've had enough of them anyway.

Getting fired from a job that didn't value you is a blessing.. You probably would have stayed there longer than you should have been and missed out on a better paying job! So thank God that He is working to provide you with a better job, so look out for it in fact get excited about it!

Oh dear, sorry to hear about these news. But the main is not to it your emotions up. I've bad emotional situation here too, though not with job, but this have helped me to start fight with weight. I also agree with previous comment on sports thing - that really helps. Maybe now you will find a job where you can find time for yourself and gym (as you write you have no time for it). Or maybe you can agree on compromise - I don't know, for example, 6.5 USD per hour?

I'm so sorry to hear about your job situation. I agree with Kim3erly though. You have to find a company that knows how to value its employees. Please do not allow this experience to affect your diet too. It's tough enough to deal with the feeling of frustration towards your employer, how much more if you add the feeling that comes with cheating on your diet. In fact, sticking to your diet despite this event in your life may just be the start of your drive to get back on your feet. Keep your head high! =)

Sorry for your troubles but remember that the job loss is only temporary and may lead to better things for you in the future. Your health and fitness are more permanent and you'll feel better knowing that you stuck to your plan despite hardships. Don't put yourself into a spiral where you're going to come out the other side feeling worse. Good luck!
