Melissa, is that watercolor? they look like Daniel Smith colors. Whether it is acrylic or watercolor I am impressed, it takes talent not to have the burnt umber and yellow mix into a muddy mess!!

Thank you so very much! My girl is so incredibly appreciative of your uplifting words! She wants you to know how much it means to her. She is going through a rough time and is looking for hope (as she was trying to represent in the painting) just like most of us with our journeys. Yes, Main Memba and Lindsaylue, it is watercolor. She had a little art class when she was about ten. She has never had a lesson since, but that watercolor teacher gave her a passion and the foundational tools that she has never let go of in 12 years. She has dabbled with many mediums, but the watercolor is what feels natural to her. I'm really so happy that you artistic folks can recognize it and also probably know how difficult watercolor is to use. I am so blessed by your encouragement for her.

This particular year hasn’t been easy on all of us, but especially on our children, like my daughter who’s in college, her entire college experience has been shifted. Your daughter is going to prosper and do extremely well in life. She looks like a very strong human being from that powerful painting exhibits what’s in her soul and what she’s made out of.
