Good Morning, FS Warriors! First day of Spring. It doesn't mean the weather is necessarily better, but it does bring a ray of hope that the better weather is within reach. Not too much to report on the working out. Got up after only hitting the snooze button twice, and made my way down to the treadmill. No sense in procrastinating, I know I'll regret it if I don't do the workout, and usually I only regret it if I do, for the first few minutes. Afterward, all is good, but soaking wet!

Practice went well at the church last night. We have a lot of fun. Nobody takes each other that seriously; we're not professionals, but we occasionally bark out a tune that sounds pretty good. Practice again Friday evening for our first nursing home appearance. We plan on just having fun. Funny thing is, I don't get nervous anymore like I used to, when someone even suggested that I sing a solo. This feels more like a family hoedown. I could tell you we are great and you wouldn't know the difference, but I'll wait a couple weeks to tell you that. If anybody would have told me a few weeks ago that, at 64 years of age, I was going to be out there playing and singing Johny Cash and Randy Travis songs in front of people, I would have told them I thought they were smoking something illegal in most states. This isn't a comeback, Folks; I've never played in a band before. This must be a mid-life crisis thing. I'm probably not going to live till 128, so maybe it isn't mid-life, but who's counting?

The weatherguessers are predicting 65 on Friday and 35 on the weekend. Got to love it. I am so ready to get out and do things that can't be done in the cold. My poor motorcycles must be going stir crazy. I know I am. Planning on the first real getaway we have had for a few years, because of DW's health issues. Going to Branson, MO. April 24 thru 27th. Not sure what all we are going to do, but we will go out and have dinner on a riverboat cruise, and we're going to watch that Jonah production by Sights and Sounds; it's supposed to be pretty impressive. Other than that, we'll just play it by ear. Well, enough rambling for now. Here's wishing my FS Friends a wonamous day. Toodles!

Awesome for you and your singing! Glad you got up for your workout. It will improve your singing wind! We had snow this morning just in time for our morning commute. Can't wait to hear how you like Branson.

Good for you - takes some guts to sing solo! I'm impressed and I bet you sound AWESOME! They sing in Branson - don't they??? Happy spring!

Haha, yes they do, but no, I will not be singing in Branson. My singing is for fun. I'm just adding my repertoire to my reputaion as a "Jack of all trades, master of none."

Good for you.... I think as we get older, we just don't give a damn... Life's to short to worry. Well done on sticking with the treadmill :-)

Thanks, Pam. The treadmill is tough, but the alternative sucks. I will be glad to take some of my runs outside in a few weeks to break up the monotony.
