I’ve tried that brand of premade shakes and have always liked the flavors! I’ve been on a vanilla equate powder kick, from Walmart.. $13ish. Best vanilla flavor I’ve had. To mix it up, I also keep powdered peanut butter and will throw some in occasionally. Also at Walmart.. also around $13. 👍🏻👍🏻

One of the very best tasting protein powders I have tried is Bowmar Blueberry Cheesecake Protein Powder. It's 100% whey with 22g protein in a serving and hardly ANY carbs. The taste is to die for - I can even drink it with just water. If you don't like sweet stuff, it might be a bit sweet. But for those of you with a sweet tooth, this is amazing! https://bowmarnutrition.com/products/protein-blueberry-cheesecake?variant=15275141759022

It’s the only protein shake I like :) I buy the premade formula. Love all the flavors.

I have only tried maybe 3 different protein powders, but this is my favorite, for taste and level of protein. 😋👍

If you're okay with shellfish, frozen shrimp is a good source. The ones with the shell on are tastier, but the shelled are easier to prepare of course.

I like the caramel. Haven’t tried the powder, but the individual cartons at Costco are quite handy!

Well out of the 3 or 4 brands available at Krogers this one was the most protein and lowest calories. It didnt hurt that it was the second cheapest one! Glad to hear several of you that agree. Thanks for the input!

Becky I do love shrimp! I almost always order them at mexican restaurants. I would eat a bunch more of them if they weren't so expensive at the store. I make a lot of salmon. Trying to do more seafood all around, but I dont have a lot of fish recipes other than your basic lemon and pepper stuff. Thanks for the advice!😁

Bronco, a fast and easy way to cook fish is in salsa or Italian salad dressing. I usually add extra seasoning to the salsa and cook it a bit before adding the fish. Have fun. 😋 Shrimp can be expensive. My husband and I are retired and so we don't have to feed anyone but ourselves, which means we can splurge on things like shrimp. 👴👩‍🦳😁

Agree with others, protein supplements are a good way to get nutrition and curb hunger when it's a substitute for less healthy alternatives (not an addition). Pure Protein and Kirkland at Costco both offer 10 cal per gram of protein, which is good for protein bars. Carbmaster milk and yogurt at many Kroger supermarkets are also very good. That said, eating lean fish, chicken, pork and beef seems to agree with me a lot better than supplements. Just eating less starchy carbs is actually what makes me feel the best. Room at the table for all approaches in moderation.
