Facebook is getting a bit on the ridiculous side with their censorship. I was first flagged for a military humor post I made a few months ago, now today they flagged me for a post from more than 6 years ago saying it was "sexually suggestive!" These posts were made in private groups to select audiences that understood the humor. It's becoming obvious to me that Facebook is no longer the fun platform it once was. Today I am thinking about closing this account and posting one that is strictly business related or just eliminating all social media associated with Facebook and Instagram. Does anyone else have thoughts on this? Has it happened to anyone else?

I agree with you as far as the hidden agenda, Denise. It's all about collecting personal data on people but I sort of need it to stay in touch with people because I know so many and the groups I belong to, for example the our local businesses and my motorcycle club, along with the local American Legion use that platform to issue notices.

It hasn’t happened to me but I’m sorry to hear that happened to you. I limit my time there though to make sure my emphasis is on in person interactions which are more joyful. Although now I do scroll FS a lot lol. I’m not sure what algorithm FS uses - but I notice that I have my screen set to “following” which would include you but I’m just now seeing this post from two weeks ago. FS seems to emphasize “featured” popular people even when I have it set to “following.” But I digress. I support and envy any decisions to leave Facebook though I’m sorry it’s under yucky circumstances for you.

Oh my gosh Skydiverjim, I personally don’t post much, but I have a Facebook page.
I absolutely think they are collecting personal data and it’s getting worse, look how far back they had to go, it’s all political!😕
But, I have a lot of fun on it for I belong to many groups with wonderful people, some military friends as well.❣️
I love scrolling enjoying and learning so much.🙂
What floors me are there are some really bad groups and sites, what is up with that? I am still in shock, I know exactly where I was, when I accidentally came across a man that shot his wife and recorded it on FB! It will never leave me!
I don’t think you should get off. They should not defeat you! I love you on this site and I know others love you on FB!💕
My daughter-in-law that is identical to Denise has gotten off FB too. 😕 So many people loved her posts which made their day better.
Anyway, after all that, I think you should stay on for all your friends, and followers. So sad that happened!😡
