Scale weight is misbehaving, but I don't care. Learning to not be so emotionally dependent on the scale. It doesn't own me. It is a useless heap of junk LOL.

Okay so what is happening in my life? Ummmm we bought some wood the other day - I actually enjoyed stacking it, apart from niggling lower back pain from all the bending - but it was good for me as a workout!

Getting someone around to look at this

It is the inside wall of where our chimney is. 4 days ago a crack appeared, then a slight bulge, then that weird dark staining. The wall is NOT wet though. We are having some people come around today to look at it, as we think it would be very dangerous to light our fire later on. Our house looks like it has chicken pox too! We have wee sticky notes everywhere we have found cracks and damage, and we are still finding new ones every week!

Still waiting to be reassessed by EQC (Earthquake Commission). Their complaints system is so backed up I don't think our complaint has even been read yet. Then we have to wait in line for the reassessors, then wait in the chimney/fireplace replacement line....

I am a bit worried as our woodburner is the only source of heating for us. Maybe I need to tell them I have asthma - could move it along a bit...

Can someone please make me exercise? I am slacking in it and it really annnoys me LOL. I know I could be losing better if I got off my butt more often!

Squiggly, it looks like it's from a leak. Have you had any rain lately? It'll start like this before it actually does get wet. But YES!!! Get it looked at before the chimney collapses, especially with all the tremors. Can't afford to lose you my dear. HAVE IT CHECKED OUT!!!

Yeah we had some pretty heavy rain a day or two beforehand. I keep losing track of time LOL. It will be interesting to hear what the men have to say today about it...

Not too harsh Bren, sometimes I need a good kick in the butt LOL. I have been doing incidental exercise like some walking and stacking wood the other day as well, but I know it is not enough... I love ya too!

Ouch! Now I have big welts all over my backside! ROFL! Gee thanks Junebug.... ROFL! Yeah the waiting is more painful than the actual damage LOL. I guess no city is ever really prepared for a massive unexpected ongoing natural disaster....

I'm collecting scales to throw off my 12th story balcony if you would like to contribute. I hope everything works out okay with your chimney.

Hmmm it wasn't water. Definitely not they said. They don't know what it is but they did say our chimney above the roof and between the roof and ceiling is very very strong and safe. Which is good news!

Laurie they didn't exactly say it was safe to use either LOL. I am happy to be your butt boot buddy - or is that boot butt buddy?

Hi Squiggs. Do you have anyone you can be exercise buddies with? I exercise with my friend from work. We are each others motivators.

Not really. You guys are my support system LOL

Squiggs I am so glad that the chimney isn't an immediate danger to you! It may be that you have a leak around the flashing on the chimney which is letting in some moisture.

Stef they said it wasn't moisture/water/rain at all. They do wonder if the wood framing has twisted slightly... they really didn't know but were very adamant that it wasn't a wet problem...
