Good Morning, FS Warriors! Rest Day today, and I took advantage of it. Slept in till 5:20 this morning somehow, even though the alarm was set for 5:00. No matter. Slept like a baby. I don't have any trouble sleeping. What's my secret? Wear my a$$ out all day! LOL! Tomorrow I get to run 2.0 miles, and day after 5.0 miles. Yay! Four months ago, I wouldn't even have imagined that I would be back on the streets jogging and preparing for another 5K. It's so easy to fall into that rut, where exercise isn't a priority; and once that happens, it's very easy to transition to the "what's the point?" attitude concerning food. Believe me, I've been there, bought the t-shirt. This time, I am determined to make this a forever lifestyle change. I don't know how long forever is in my case, but right now, I'm feeling like I am doing something to make forever a little longer.

DW fixed up a barbecued country rib with a twice baked potato and lima beans last night, and it was to die for. I was stuffed after one rib, and didn't even think about snacking last night. Stayed busy arranging chords and printing up music sheets for Sunday's worship service. Takes a lot more time than I thought; I'm grateful for those who do it on a regular basis. Didn't get to bed until about 10:30, a little past my normal bed time, but knew I had a rest day and could sleep in a little. I just have to be careful I don't get bored and overindulge on a rest day. I'm not to the point where I do cross-training on a rest day; when it's a rest day, I need to use it as a rest day.

I think this is the first weekend in a long time that I don't have some event planned, and I can do what I want. Unfortunately, it's supposed to rain all day, but I'll figure something out. There's always a project that needs doing. I get to do my run in the daylight tomorrow; that, in itself, is reason to look forward to the weekend. Even running in the rain is fun, if it isn't really nasty and windy. Well, I hope all my Buddies have a wonderful day today, and a wonamous weekend. Toodles!
