A really good friend of mine recommended fatsecret to me. She believes that it will be beneficial to my weight loss goals! I am 29 years old and in the words of a doctor (who shall remain nameless)am morbidly obese. I am type 1 diabetic and have struggled with it since I was 16 years old. I have never had "normal" diabetic readings since then. Given that I am so over weight and the diabetic thing, my doctor says that my future looked grim and if I did not take charge of my own health and get things under control (weight and all). I can tell you this has not been and easy journey! Since mid Feb. this year I have been working toward my goal. BTW I am happy to say I am down 12 pound and my sugar levels are stablizing. This is the first time that have ever happened. God has blessed me with a great support team. One in particular has been my right hand and close encourager. In fact, she is my gym BGB! Which in reading a health mag. is important to have! She is stronger than I in many of my weak areas! I am so very thankful for her! I don't know if anyone has diabetes but it is not something to take lightly! I is a silent killer! I want to live so as you can see me and diabetes don't get along very well because I want to fight it!!! Best Wishes Butterfly
