Well, I figured out I was addicted to the Nicorette gum and went off, only to end up buying cigs after three days...smoked for 3 days then went back on the gum. Now I am trying to alternate the Nicorette gum with regular gum....the damn Nicorette is running me about $250 a month! And with that...I am/was also back on the diet coke rampage....about 6-8 a day, along with chocolate bar....or hot fudge sundae (or both)...so no...not doing well at all. I know it's partly mostly psychological...Im working on step 3 in aa getting ready to do step 4 and dreading it....partly phyisiological as I am really craving sweets since I quit drinking in Jan. So, I am going to start over tomorrow...my lifecoach said any day can be a starting day. It doesn't have to be a Monday or the first day of the month...which is how I always planned things. So heres praying I can do this. Tomorrow its back to mio and water, at least 6 bottles a day, cut down to only 4 diet cokes for now...and no more chocolate bars and sundaes. The carbmaster yogurts from Kroger are just as satisfying....and only 60 calories, no carbs. I obviously got off the workout schedule and will have to figure out a way to work that back in...im still doing the 100 crunches each am tho, although to look at my stomach...it doesn't show. But I got to keep trying. I have got to get down to 150...I can't stand this anymore....and pray for me as I deal with my 4th step. A whole lot of garbage to deal with there....

I quit drinking in March, there are days that I really would like one Whenever I want one, I think of all the calories lol. I drink water,water, water now. Good luck to you Orcaprice..I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers!

If you are trying to quit, don't buy the kind you like buy the kind that tastes nasty and eventually you will stop cold turkey like I did. You can do it. Just think of how much money you can save.

Good luck, you are taking on a lot of quitting at one time. Do you drink coffee? The caffeine can replace the cokes then start reducing until you're off of the coffee too....why I ask is I don't drink coffee so it wasn't an option for me and the chemicals in the diet sodas interfere with weight loss even if 0 calorie...something about the chemical make up. If you reduce one a day or every other day until off the caffeine you'll have less chance of withdrawal headaches.
