I can gain 3lbs in a day, and it takes me the rest of the week to lose them back. Patience and endurance...

Slow and steady. Form habits, even if that means you don't get results as quickly, because then your weight loss will be on autopilot. I've started shooting for 100g protein every day, walking half an hour every morning, and weight lifting three times a week as soon as I get up. Now that those things are habits, I don't have to think about them. They're just what I do.

good direction! you can walk daily starting from 3000 steps and then you will make 6000 about 1 hour. I have been walking for a week now. most times I am lazy but I do it and after walk 1 lbs goes away. To lose weight is difficult but I encourage you to keep going! the result is worth of it.

You’ve got your head in this. I agree can be frustrating to take so long. Where is that magic wand 🧚🏻♀️when we need it? But we are both making that magic happen by working at it daily for as long as it takes. Besides you’ve got a work out coming to kick my behind if I ever start giving up.
Keep pushing.

part of my success was that thanks to Covid I didn't put a time frame on my goal before I did that alot because I thought that pressure or a deadline will motivate me in fact it did the opposite discouraged me tgat I didn't loose 30 lbs in 3 months fir that wedding or highschool or family reunion instead tgroughtout the lockdown I just saw it as one day at a time next thing you know 1 year had past since the pandemic and I didn't even notice I had lost 100lbs until everything reopened & people will walk by me and not recognize me or my annual physical all my bloodwork for the first time in my life was normal it was a shock. time passes anyways make it count you will get there and look back and be so proud of yourself😉

I'm sorry you are frustrated. I know what it feel like when clothes are too tight & stuff is hanging out. I'm not sure at the moment what you are doing in your plan. Have you tried cutting sodium. Cutting sodium gives me a nice bit of instant gratification to keep me motivated when I feel down about how the weight is taking forever to come off. I agree with what everyone is saying. I'm just saying you may need a bit if quick fix fir your mood. I hate how salt makes me bloated.

I used to hate wash day. Knowing my jeans wouldn’t fit anymore. The worst was the seatbelt just about decapitating me, and my stomach sticking into the steering wheel so every turn I made hurt. I didn’t fit in booths at restaurants. And my husband has weighed 156# his entire adult life. I have yoyoed and wound up heavier each time.
As you lose and those little losses add up. Doesn’t seem like it but they do.
I had to lose over 100#.
Which seemed impossible. So I set an easy goal. Every 5 pounds I would reward myself with a nonfood reward. A movie I wanted to see. A mani-pedi. A new perfume. Whatever motivated me!
Those 5# goals add up.
Soon I was past the 100# on to 120#.
If a screwball like me did it and it took me till I was 61. I know you are motivated enough to do it. I believe in you Morgan.

Don't expect speedy results; it's more about consistency. If you can lose 5# per month, that will get you 60 lbs in a year, and then you can do it again. We're all different, but if you expect fast losses, you might get discouraged. Slow and steady wins the race.
