189 lbs - it's holding! :) It was a great day yesterday. I didn't get to everything I wanted for the project but I made peace with that and moved on the plans I had with the kids. Result: contended me and kids!
I was not that person over a year ago ... I would have obsessed about work and I would not have walked away. I would have worked on it regardless - because if I didn't, it would sit in the center of my brain and bleed into all parts, and I would not be able to enjoy anything else because my brain would eventually be hijacked by my need to get the work done. But that is exactly why I took a sabbatical and it's good to know that I can now flip the switch a lot better than I used to. The experiment is working and I am reclaiming my life. There is still a bit of knot when I think about what I didn't get done but I don't obsess and it doesn't keep me awake at nights ... more importantly, I am able to go out and enjoy myself with the kids.
After the salon visit yesterday, freshly coifed and primped, we drove to the waterfront and went for a walk ... a good, long one, that wrapped up with ice cream (sugar free/dairy free for me). I always believed that I could have it all but I didn't know what that really meant until now - it means taking the time to understand yourself enough to make the choices that keep you whole .... finding your "ish" .. that unique formula that make your life work!
