Pretty much everybody experiences plateaus. Keep eating well, counting calories of everything you take, and your weight will go down.

I try to post pics of my meals so I can scroll and see quickly if I have any question... Not usually of the leftovers though... You kind of know if you ate those the next few days...

My pathway down is a drunken sailor rocking back and forth going nowhere then stumbling forward and stablizing by stepping slightly backwards. What matters is even stumbling around the general direction is towards home. I do truly believe our bodies are struggling in their unhealth to get hormones, glucose metabolism etc stablized. Be kind to yourself, but ok to every once in awhile give a shove by changing things up.

Cheryl, how is your stress levels and the amount of sleep you're getting nightly. Are you calorie counting, including accurate measuring not estimating and hitting your daily number of calories? Wouldn't say I know the solution to ending plateaus but when I answer those questions honestly and get those sorted I usually see a move in the scale.

Sometimes if I increase the frequency of exercise and have one day with some extra calories it nudges my body out of starvation mode and I start losing again. Good luck

Thank you so much for your comments and support. I do count calories, but I do not usually hit the 1500 calorie mark. I do stress a lot because my weight won't move as fast as I want it too. I do walk every day about 2 miles, do push ups, squats and lift weights. I am going to try to increase the exercise. I live with RA, so pain levels are usually high.

I think hitting a stall is normal. I eat 1600 cal and lift weights 4x a week and my weight has changed little in the last month. So far I’ve lost 35 pounds. So I would just continue what your doing it will pass, keep in mind the smaller you get the slower the weight comes off.

I just found out - that muscle weighs more than fat...yep. So if you are so physically active everyday with weight training and strengthening muscles and your body is showing changes or getting firmer - that might be the reason why - there are plateaus where it is so difficult to lose any pounds at all - and being healthier with a strong body - that is good thing. It is just a thought.

Hey Cheryl👋🏽, first off I know you're gonna figure it out and hit goal💫. Here's my strategy for plateaus: 1. Chose a reset day and go off from counting for that one day, having a bit more than usual, maybe have a treat as well, but don't go back to foods you may have been addicted to. 2. Review the calories required to put you in deficit, you say 1500 but it may be lower now that you've lost weight. Hit those calories each day following your reset, no going over😐😑😬, yes it will be tough but you are strong and can do this💪🏾, don't forget to really measure and not guestimate like I'm prone to do😆. 3. Don't get dejected by the scale, remember that water weight and hormonal fluctuations cause swings in our weight. 4. Don't over train, allow your body to recover from workouts or you'll be inflamed. 5. Prayful meditation for stress, you can't change anything by stressing anyway, make a plan and work on it. Get good amounts of rest when possible😴. You've got this Cheryl💪🏾🥗💞💕

I do thank each of you for your support and comments. I did not know about muscle weighing than fat. I do take lots of medicine for my RA and other health issues. I will be using your suggestions on do the weight lifting 4 times a week and counting my calories better. I do not normally eat 1500 calories a day - sometimes it is not even 1000 a day. I am determined to win this battle with my weight. Thank you so very much.
