I lost my brother and a family friend to Covid within the last month. Both had been healthy prior to contracting Covid...neither however had the vaccine. 😭 

Always so sad, when will this end? 😢 

I read an interesting article about how different the reaction to the polio vaccine was compared to covid. Mostly people were supportive of polio vaccine and believed it universally patriotic to take it, not a political issue of two sides. I agree the current situation is terrible. My mom had polio (has lived her life with disability because of it) and both diseases need to be taken seriously! 

Jim, stay safe ok? Covid seems scarier this year. I am sorry you lost your friend unexpectedly. 

I'm sorry for your loss 

I’m very sorry. I agree entirely— i posted a little thing a while back. A man, intubated, in an ICU bed and inside his head saying something to the effect of “GOD HELP ME”. Off in the wings is Gods voice saying, “I sent you a vaccine, what more do you want?”. So appropriate for what is going on.

So sorry for your loss 😔 We all spent 2020 waiting for a vaccine to come, annoyed that it was "taking so long." Then once the vaccine came, half of America yelled, "I'm not taking that! The government is trying to kill us!" It makes me sick. They're begging for this vaccine in my home country (Nigeria) and we're sitting here in America using our "freedom" to terrorize ourselves and each other. Its mind-boggling. 

First. I give thanks. I appreciate your post. The overwhelming scientific evidence has verified that the unvaccinated members of our society are providing the opportunity for the virus to mutate to new variants. I pray for those who have not have an opportunity to receive the vaccine.

Oh Skydiverjim, I am so very sorry.😞 Just so you know, I studied viruses and the Pfizer vaccine is the best! They have been working on this for decades! It teaches your body to attack Covid. Yet, it is not a cure, nor does your body always take the cue to do so. I trust Pfizer as this was their field of study and had been using that type of vaccine in other countries for years. Remember, even with the vaccine you will catch it!!!! Yet, with the vaccine your body is trained to attack it more efficiently and earlier than without it. No guarantees it will work! Everyone has to stay vigilant!!! Don’t get too close to strangers, and WASH YOUR HANDS!!! The virus has to get in your body in the first place to infect you somehow. I also truly believe in extra zinc if you feel a cold coming on. Stay stocked up on Cold-EEZE, I feel it could truly make a difference! My opinion and it is delicious anyway, won’t hurt, and may actually work! Sorry, but I have enjoyed studying viruses for a long time, so this became a book. Remember,… Keep your distance, (the virus is heavy and doesn’t fly in the air, but will go flying with a cough = masks) Wash your hands!! (Too easy to rub your eyes or touch your mouth with your dirty hands) Keep Cold-EEZE,(in your pocket or close at hand just as a precaution) Remember, viruses are not a living organism and needs a host = you. As a former first responder ⛑, I’m amazed that there are first line health providers, nurses, staff that are not vaccinated. WTH? Unvaccinated nurses etc should not be doing patient care, period.
