Have you tried high fiber foods? I take Metamucil every morning.

Pumpkin, blueberries, and beans all have lots of fiber. Prune juice works wonders or french or dark roast coffee. I've never tried laxatives so I'm no help there.

You should try the fiber one brownies. They’re low calorie (so you won’t feel too nervous eating them) and they could also help with your system.

Try eating more fiber. Laxatives can be addictive if you're not careful

I agree with everyone else. Some 🍒 cherries, water, or tea with fennel will help alongside fiber!

I ended up sleeping most of the day. Still have a headache :( I've managed 800 calories. Thanks for all the suggestions. I have had a lot of fruit and whole grain and drinking a lot of water. No luck yet. I dropped all the way down to 111.4 lbs. I don't even know how that is possible with everything that must be packed in my gut, ugggh. I might have to go back to the doc sooner than anticipated the way this is going.

Glenous - I don't have any prune juice unfortunately and not feeling up to a trip to the grocery store. Maybe tomorrow :) I appreciate the advice.

You might be low on digestive enzymes… Without the proper enzymes to digest, You will have a bloating and constipation and all sorts of issues, even if you eat lots of fiber. I would recommend adding apple cider vinegar to your diet and a betain hydrochloride supplement. Dr. Berg has one called ADVANCED DIGESTION FORMULA. It has both ingredients in it and It really works!!! I take it before every meal.

Ames - that's interesting. The mass gainer powder I've been using has Betaine Anhydrous included. I was wondering what that was. I also have a pre-biotic supplement that appears to have some enzymes (peptidase and lipase), but I stopped taking them because I found the pills difficult to swallow. Maybe I'll break them open and put them in a smoothie.

Aflem - P, aye? Potato? 😂 Just kidding. I haven't had any pears, but my mom went apple picking and gave me a whole bunch of giant honeycrisps. Been eating 1-2 of those a day. Doing oatmeal for breakfast and a cup of berries in every smoothie. It seems like just a matter of time, but I wish it'd hurry!

Metamucil orange flavored powder and 5 pitted prunes work for me. I tried Colace and it didn't do anything. M.O.M. is another remedy. I also have IBS and constipation gets me sometimes. Feel better soon!

Water, water, water, and more water. As a nurse, I would recommend miralax every other day until you go. Can be taken in conjunction with a stool softener if needed. Dulcolax is a stimulant laxative and cause pretty uncomfortable abdominal cramping. Pear and apple juice are good alternatives to prune juice if you don't like it. Adding a probiotic might help get your gut enzymes back in check too. Good luck!

Miralax! I use 1/4 capful in my morning coffee. No taste and it keeps things “moving “! 😂 Stir well.

Lots of water, stool softener, Metamucil, and prunes should do the trick.
