Ugh, today has been rough. I woke up with a terrible headache and still can't "go". I'm considering taking a laxative at this point because I'm super uncomfortable. I don't really want to eat when I feel this bloated and I've only had 140 calories so far today. I need to eat but it's gotta go somewhere! To Dulcolax or not to Dulcolax? That is the question, lol. Sorry to talk about poo so much, but it's a big part of my struggle right now until my digestive system wakes up from its long sleep. I used to drink a lot of alcohol, which probably kept me alive and definitely kept me regular. Filling my body with solid calories...it doesn't know what to do with it I don't think.

When you eat your fruit, don't forget to eat the seeds and don't chew them. Kiwis are great because of the small seeds. Natural stool softener, just add water. 👍 Miralax does indeed work like others have stated. But in the longer run, I vote for the fiber, water, seed therapy combo.

Also could try magnesium tablets on a daily basis to help consistently. I hope laxatives are not part of your anorexia pattern. You can choose natural foods to help you. Best of luck,

HCB - I have ARFID, not anorexia. Laxatives are not normally part of my life. I've never tried to lose weight on purpose.

increase water in take. Target 90-110 oz daily. increase fiber intake target 21+ grams daily. Stay away from laxatives. It's to easy for our digestive system to become dependent on them.

Lots of well-meaning advice givers here, but I would suggest you call your doctor for recommendations on how to handle this situation, considering your condition. Take care of yourself. 🍁
