Well I am halfway through my Friday exercise routine...got my hour and a half in this morning doing cardio and lifting weights, then did my hour long core fitness class at lunch...so I am hoping I have energy to get to the 5:00 circuit training class. I keep telling myself I need that class way worse than the happy hour margaritas!

This week the head seems to be in the right place. I sure wish I could bottle this up and save it for the hard weeks, when I can't seem to find anything that keeps me away from the food. You know, those weeks where no amount of logic, pleading and chastising myself works to keep me from eating the apple pie with ice cream.

I have not been traveling as much with my job, so I have been able to be very strict with my exercise. I have not missed a beat for the last 3 weeks. In fact I have increased my over all time in the gym. It never gets any easier and I am still waiting for the endorphin high, but I sure like the comments I am getting about my jeans. So for now that is enough motivation.

The weekend is coming up with all its tempting food challenges. I have to admit I find myself avoiding social event that I would love to go to because I am not sure that I can deal with the temptations. Like this weekend, friends are gathering on the river with food, keg beer, boats and a BAND for hells sake...and I am actually thinking about not going. I know my weight loss issues are long term goals and this is a short term party...but it still sucks.

All the fun is starting for the summer...I want to enjoy it and maintain my diet....I have to remember how bad I felt when I was heavy and could not dance for very long....or keep up with the "young things" that I hang out with, climbing mountains and boating. Focus Sheri....FOCUS!
