Time for the obligatory end of the year post :-)
I did manage my 10 mile run today and boy was it rough! I was 3 miles in and new I was gonna be sore, my quads were very very tight, but I made it. Garmin of course marked it as unproductive, but whatever.
I was looking through some of my photos so I could do a comparison post for myself, and looking back I'm embarrassed for letting myself get to that point (a little over 30 pounds heavier), because I had managed to lose all the weight before. It was after I had injured my foot 6 months earlier, and I had stopped running and even when I was running (doing 100+ miles a month) I was in a "I can eat whatever I want because I'm burning a ton of calories" mood that carried over when I stopped exercising. Which is obviously not the way to look at food, and I've adopted better habits now that I hope would help me if I injure myself again.
I love reading everyone's posts here, they're so inspiring and I love all of the progress you guys have made, too. I can't wait to see how we kick ass next year :-)
